MORE ABOUT ME

My Story

Why Did You Get Into Real Estate?

That’s the 10-year old me, sporting those baggy, early 2000’s-style Adidas sweatpants working with my dad and brother to build our very first house.

After all these years, it's not too far off from what I do now.

Here’s the backstory:

In high school and college, I stumbled into an activity that shaped much of how I serve my clients today. Not just with the YouTube videos I make on a weekly basis, but with understanding the Kansas City real estate market, negotiating great prices and terms, and dealing with any obstacles along the way.

It was debate. And as someone who’s really competitive, I had no choice but to learn how to research, think critically, and stay multiple steps ahead—and that's exactly what I bring to the table with each and every client today.

Another extremely important component is customer service. Prior to graduating from the University of Kansas, I was hired as a personal trainer at my local gym. One thing led to another and I decided to finish my degree a whole year early so I could work full time.

After a few years of climbing the ranks, growing my client base, and improving my skillset, I needed a new challenge. That’s how I rediscovered real estate, but the more I looked, the more I noticed a big gap in the industry...
What Makes You Different?
"Jack of all trades, master of none"

Specialists beat generalists every single day of the week. And it's especially true when $100,000's are at stake.

Too many agents spread themselves way too thin, taking any deal they can get. As a result, customer service drops and their clients are the ones who suffer.

In order to generate the best results for my clients, I specialize in the following areas:

1. The Kansas City suburbs — mainly Johnson County, KS and Lee's Summit, MO. I'm licensed in both Kansas and Missouri and am ready to help you find the best suburb or neighborhood for you and your family.

2. New Construction — whether you're looking for a walkout lot that backs to green space, a new home that's move-in ready, or anything in between, we have extensive relationships with most builders and developers in town to make sure you get the best deal possible.

3. Moving to Kansas City — if you're new to the area or moving back to Kansas City and have a tight timeline, a home to sell in another state, or even multiple homes to sell, we'll help you take it one step at a time while getting a great deal on your new home.

Why Should I Work With You?
My clients know me to be patient, knowledgeable and hardworking. The backbone of all of that, and the most important thing to me, is your trust.

My fiduciary duty requires that I put your best interests first, in every instance. To me, that means being a straight shooter and telling you the truth even when it's uncomfortable.

I strongly believe in Jocko Willink's concept of 'extreme ownership' — taking responsibility in instead of blaming others for situations outside of my control.

Most importantly, I care deeply about making sure you get the best deal possible. It's especially important in real estate, where one misstep can cost you $10,000's.

From the moment we start working together, my goal is to create and safeguard your leverage in any future negotiation. That requires a deep understanding of your goals, working backwards to create the perfect strategy, and staying multiple steps ahead as we implement it.
What Do You Do Outside Of Real Estate?
Real estate DOES occupy a lot of my time. After all, it is a cutthroat industry.

Luckily, even when things go south, my dog, Oscar, is there to greet me every time I walk through the door. He's a greyhound/border collie mix, is faster than lightning, and a little too smart for his own good. We had two huge Bernese Mountain Dogs growing up, and he's the exact opposite. (Pictured below)

The most important thing to me is my family. I live within 5 minutes of my parents and while I don't have kids yet, everything I do on a daily basis is to set my future family up for success.

Other than that, I'm a big fan of the Chiefs (surprise!), have started following the MLB recently, and current enjoy watching the show, Survivor, because of all the strategy and politicking involved.

I graduated from the University of Kansas with a degree in political science and while I've never used it, I do spend a decent bit of time staying up to date with current events (which hasn't gotten any easier over the last few years).

Here's a picture of my dog, Oscar, showing my Dad's Bernese Mountain dog puppy, Ivan, who's boss:
